Porous made simple.
SUSTAINABILITY
As the majority of Bio-Pore component applications involve single use laboratory or medical plastics, the typical disposal method is incineration due to concerns with biohazardous materials. As a result, Bio-Pore recognizes the limitations of reducing the impact on single use plastics, but throughout the organization, has put in place a structure and systems to reclaim and recycle as much as possible in the post-production process, as well as using the latest energy saving technologies when available.
Bio-Pore is committed to reducing its carbon footprint while maintaining the highest level of quality and performance in the porous plastic market.
Bio-Pore continues to develop new materials supporting its sustainability efforts and positive impact on the environment. Bio-Pore’s new eco filter material is radically impacting sustainability at the source, while still reaching the same highest levels of quality and performance in the end-product:
- Bio-based feedstock using a biomass balance approach, not using food or feed crops.
- Significant increase in renewable content and reduction of CO2 footprint vs standard fossil equivalents.
- End products with identical quality and properties enable drop-in replacement with proven chemical identicalness.
